นิรุกติศาสตร์และส่วนประกอบ

The Chinese character 朝 (cháo) is composed of two parts: 日 (rì), meaning "sun", and 旦 (dàn), meaning "morning". The character 朝 originally meant "morning" or "sunrise", and it was often used in ancient Chinese poetry to describe the beauty of the morning. Over time, the meaning of 朝 expanded to include "dynasty" or "imperial court", as the emperor was considered to be the "son of heaven" and his reign was seen as a new beginning, like the rising of the sun. In modern Chinese, 朝 is still used to mean "morning" or "dynasty", but it can also be used to refer to a "government" or "administration".
