伤害

The Chinese word 伤害 (shānghài) means "to hurt" or "to cause harm". It is composed of two characters: 伤 (shāng), which means "to injure" or "to damage", and 害 (hài), which means "to harm" or "to cause trouble". The word 伤害 is often used to describe physical injuries, but it can also be used to describe emotional or psychological harm. For example, you could say 我很伤心 (wǒ hěn shāngxīn), which means "I am very sad", or 我很生气 (wǒ hěn shēngqì), which means "I am very angry". The word 伤害 can also be used as a noun, in which case it means "injury" or "harm". For example, you could say 我受了伤 (wǒ shòule shāng), which means "I was injured", or 我受到了伤害 (wǒ shòudào le shānghài), which means "I was harmed".
