นิรุกติศาสตร์และส่วนประกอบ

The Chinese word 犯罪 (fànzuì) is composed of two characters: 犯 (fàn) and 罪 (zuì). The character 犯 originally meant "to invade" or "to attack", and later extended to mean "to violate" or "to break the law". The character 罪 originally meant "guilt" or "sin", and later extended to mean "crime" or "offense". Thus, the word 犯罪 literally means "to commit a crime" or "to break the law".The word 犯罪 is first recorded in the oracle bone script of the Shang dynasty (c. 1600-1046 BC). In the oracle bone script, the character 犯 is depicted as a person holding a weapon, and the character 罪 is depicted as a person kneeling with their hands bound. This suggests that the original meaning of 犯罪 was "to commit a violent crime".Over time, the meaning of 犯罪 has expanded to include all types of crimes, both violent and non-violent. The word is now used in a variety of contexts, including legal documents, news reports, and everyday conversation.
