นิรุกติศาสตร์และส่วนประกอบ

The Chinese character 服 (fú) is composed of two parts: the radical 纟 (mí) on the left, which represents clothing, and the phonetic component 服 (fú) on the right, which is a simplified form of the character 覆 (fù), meaning "to cover". Together, these two components form the character 服, which originally meant "clothing" or "garment". Over time, its meaning expanded to include the idea of "to wear" or "to put on", as well as the more abstract concepts of "to obey" or "to submit". In modern Chinese, 服 is commonly used in a variety of contexts, including clothing, obedience, and service. For example, the phrase 穿衣服 (chuān yīfu) means "to wear clothes", while the phrase 服从命令 (fú cóng mìnglìng) means "to obey orders".
