นิรุกติศาสตร์และส่วนประกอบ

The Chinese word for "postage stamp" is 邮票 (yóupiào). The first character, 邮 (yóu), originally meant "to travel far" or "to send". It was later used to refer to the postal service. The second character, 票 (piào), means "ticket" or "voucher". So, the word 邮票 literally means "postage ticket".The word 邮票 was first used in China in the late 19th century, when the country's first postal service was established. Before that, people used to send letters and packages without stamps. Instead, they would pay the postage fee when they picked up their mail. The introduction of postage stamps made it much easier to send mail. People could now simply buy a stamp and stick it on their letter or package, and it would be delivered to its destination without any further payment.Today, postage stamps are still used all over the world. They are an important part of the postal system, and they also play a role in philately, the hobby of collecting stamps.
