The Chinese word 出口 (chūkǒu) is composed of two characters: 出 (chū), meaning "to go out" or "to exit", and 口 (kǒu), meaning "mouth" or "opening". Together, these characters form the word 出口, which literally means "exit" or "outlet". In addition to its literal meaning, 出口 can also be used figuratively to refer to a person's ability to express themselves or to the way in which something is expressed. For example, the phrase 出口成章 (chūkǒu chéng zhāng) means "to speak eloquently or fluently", while the phrase 出口伤人 (chūkǒu shāng rén) means "to speak in a way that hurts others".
